STATE CHAPTERS

Our most recent innovation is the activation of state chapters of OPSR. We hope to have many such chapters across the State, each meeting monthly. We will then have our Statewide meetings quarterly, instead of monthly as we have done up to this point.

The state chapters that have formed or are forming are as follows:

Oklahoma City

We had a formative meeting at The Homeless Alliance on September 20. 30 organizations were in attendance! We hope to being to meet monthly, in conjunction with the OPRI Model project, and to enhance the quality of services to ex-felons in OKC. More details on the first meeting can be viewed here.

Tulsa

We have had some preliminary discussions with the Tulsa PRI group, about possibly having them be our Tulsa chapter. We'll keep you posted.

Lawton

We held our monthly statewide meeting in Lawton on 10/27/11, to help foster the formation of the local reentry coalition. It went very well. We will be helping launch the Comanche County Reentry Coalition some time in November. Check back for more updates.
